Today on our 2017 Nissan Pathfinder we're going to be taking a look at the 20 by 48 CURT cargo carrier. Now let's take a few quick measurements. Overall this is going to be adding right around 28" to the total length of the vehicle. As far as ground clearance goes, the closest part of the cargo carrier to the ground is going to be right around 14-1/4". Now the closest point to the vehicle is going to be right about 7-1/2". Now if you're stacking something and you want to know how close the hatch is going to be, the breakover point's going to be right around 25-1/4". Keep that in mind when stacking anything on here. more

Today on our 2017 Nissan Pathfinder we're going to be taking a look at the 24 by 60 CURT cargo carrier. Now first we're going to take a few measurements. Overall we're going to be adding right around 35" to the total length of the vehicle. As far as ground clearance goes, the closest point of the basket is going to be right about 14". Now the closest point to the vehicle is going to be right about 6-1/2". Now when carrying things, the breakover point where the hatch is going to make contact is going to be right about 24". Now one of the nice features of this cargo basket is there's plenty of tie down points. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Nissan Quest- Video
Today on our 2016 Nissan Quest we're going to be test fitting the 20 by 48 CURT cargo carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number C18110. This has a 300 pound carrying capacity. On the floor of the cargo carrier you can see that it has this nice mesh flooring. That's going to make it a lot easier to clean. Also around the border of the cargo carrier we have these tie down points which you can use for your ratchet straps or your bungee cords. The cargo carrier does have a slightly raised shank which is going to assist you when you have a particularly low-sitting hitch so you don't have any clearance issues between the cargo carrier or the ground. The exhaust is going to be on the passenger side and face down away from the cargo carrier so you don't have to worry about any heat-sensitive materials when you're loading those up. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Nissan Quest c18152- Video
Today on our 2016 Nissan Quest, we're going to be test fitting the 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches, part number C18152. This has a carrying capacity of 500 pounds. We have this nice mesh floor here on the bottom which makes it easier to clean, and we also have this railing all the way around the cargo carrier which can serve as a tie down point for either your ratchet straps or your bungee chords. I'm going to go ahead and give you some quick measurements now. Measuring from the edge of the bumper to our outer edge, we've added about 33.5" to the rear of the vehicle. For our ground clearance that's going to be about 12", and then our closest point to the bumper is going to be about 8" to this edge here. That same measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole is going to be about 12", so just keep that in mind if you have different style hitches installed on your vehicle that go further out, or come further in. more

Today on our 2015 Nissan Rogue, we're doing a test fit of a current 20 by 48 cargo carrier. That part number is C18110. Now, we already have our cargo carrier installed here. We've got a 300 weight capacity and the supports of both an inch and a quarter and two inch hitches. We're going to start off with a few measurements. First is going to be ground clearance. The bottom of our bolt, we're going to have about thirteen and a half inches. Overall through our vehicle, we have about twenty five inches and our closest point is going to be about five and a half inches away. On our Rogue, we do have a single driver's side exhaust. more

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2010 Nissan Frontier- Video
Today in our 2010 Nissan Frontier, we're going to be test fitting the Max Tow 30 by 50 wheelchair carrier with the 48 inch long ramp, part number MT70106. This has a carry capacity of 500 pounds. It has this nice mesh floor, which makes it easy to clean. It has the rails as well as these tie down points all around the cargo carrier for your ratchet straps or your bungee cords, to make sure your cargo doesn't fall off while driving. Right now we have it in the position you would have it when, either your wheelchair or your scooter is going to be on the cargo carrier, itself. Note, that you cannot open your tailgate when this is in this position. more

Today on our 2016 Nissan Rogue, we're doing a test-fit of the Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier. That part number is M2205. This is designed to work with 2 inch hitches and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. So the first thing I'm going to do here is take a few measurements, ground clearance being first. WE're going to have about 16 and 3/4 inches. Overall to our vehicle, we are adding about 32 1/4 inches and our closest point that would make contact to our vehicle first is going to be about 4 1/4 inches. On our Rogue, we do have a single driver's side exhaust. It comes straight out and towards the ground, just under there, so we don't have to worry about carrying heat-sensitive materials in a specific spot on our carrier. Now unfortunately, in this position, we won't be able to access our hatch, but if we come to each corner and remove our pins, we can lay each of these sides down, just like so. more

Go ahead and measure from the bumper, and to this point here, that's about 34 and a half inches. Next I'll go ahead and give you the ground clearance, which will be from this point here. That's about 14 and a half inches. Our closest point to the bumper, which is going to be this point here, it's going to be about 13 and a half inches. The exhaust on this truck actually is on the passenger's side here, and it's actually off to the side, so you don't have to worry about anything like heat sensitive materials being placed inside your cargo carrier. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Murano we're test fitting the Stromberg-Carlson 23 by 60 cargo carrier. Now they designed this cargo carrier for use with 2" hitches, and it has a 500 pound weight capacity. The part number on it is CC-100. Cargo carrier has a few really nice things going for it. The first thing I noticed is how large the openings are in our expanded steel. That's going to give us lots of room for that dirt and debris to fall down and through rather than just sitting up here and building up on top of the carrier. Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Nissan Pathfinder C18151- Video
Today on our 2015 Nissan Pathfinder, we're doing a test fit of the Curt folding 20 x 60 cargo carrier. That part number is C18151. Now, this has a 500-pound weight capacity and it's designed to work with 2-inch hitches. While we have it on our vehicle, we're going to start off with some measurements here. We're going to have our ground clearance first, which is going to be about 12 inches. Overall to our vehicle, we're adding about 34-1/2 inches, and our closest point is going to be about 14 inches. Now, on our Pathfinder, we do have a single passenger side exhaust here, although it comes out and straight down towards the ground, so you shouldn't have to worry about carrying any heat-sensitive materials in a specific region on your carrier. more

Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2001 Nissan Xterra- Video
Today on our 2001 Nissan Xterra, we've got out the Stromberg Carlson Cargo Carrier here. It's been designed for use on 2-inch hitches and it's going to carry up to 500 pounds. Part number on it is CC-100. Now this carrier has a pretty nice open expanded steel, larger than you see on some of the carriers. It's going to allow for larger dirt and debris to fall down and out. Also offers a raised rail around the outside edge. more

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2001 Nissan Xterra- Video
Today on our 2001 Nissan Xterra we've got out the Maxxtow Aluminum Cargo Carrier. We're going to test fit it and see what kind of spacing we have here with our vehicle. This is a aluminum slatted cargo carrier. We've got the big wide areas for dirt and debris to fall through and then our slats there to keep our load supported. It's got a small raised edge around the outside. It's going to be about 2 inches high. This is really compact as far as storage and things go like that. more
